Browser Installation and Troubleshooting

Browser installation and setup

  • Please make sure that you are downloading and installing the browser only on Windows 10 / 11 64-bit or 32-bit machine.
  • Go to http://browser.cloudfactory.com and click on download button.
  • If prompted, click Run or Save.
  • If you chose Save, double-click the installer file to start the installation process.
  • Please note that you may not have necessary permissions required to install a software in your computer. Contact a people officer for help in that case.
  • When the installation is complete, the WorkStream Browser is automatically started.

Installation completion process takes longer than 15 minutes

  • Verify the internet speed. Please ask the user to share the bandwidth information. Check the internet speed at https://fast.com/
  • If the internet speed is less than 1 Mbps then please wait for the installation to complete.
  • If the installation takes longer than 30 minutes please report issue to People Officer.
  • If the internet speed is greater than 1 Mbps and installation takes more than 15 minutes then please report issue to People Officer.
  • If you chose Save, double-click the installer file to start the installation process.

In case of installation failure message

  • Verify if the browser is installed even if the error message is displayed.
  • To verify browser installation please look for WorkStream browser shortcut icon in desktop, or it can also be listed in start menu.
  • If it’s installed please verify the version of the browser. For version, open the browser go to help, click on About WorkStream.
  • Workstream browser should be up to date.
  • If all is verified as above, the browser installation was successful. You can start using the WorkStream browser. However, communicate about the error message to a People Officer.
  • Incase the browser was not installed then try installing the browser once again.
  • If the same problem persists report about the issue to People Officer.
  • Incase the browser is installed but the version is different from the one mentioned. Uninstall the browser.
  • Download the browser from http://browser.cloudfactory.com and install the browser once again.
  • If the same problem persists report about the issue to People Officer.

How do I upgrade browser to latest version

  • Type chrome://help in the WorkStream Browser's address bar
  • Browser version will be listed
  • Browser will start the process to fetch new browser version if available. If no new version avialable "Already uptodate" message will be reflected.
  • If available it will download the latest version
  • Once download is complete. A relaunch button will appear
  • Click on the relaunch button and start using the latest browser
  • To verify if you are using the latest version, verify your browser version with the version listed at http://browser.cloudfactory.com
